What is THE SEXTO PROJECT?

trait

The SEXTO project is a partnership between schools, police forces, and the Director of Criminal and Penal Prosecutions (DCPP), to promote prevention and raise awareness among elementary and high school students as regards the growing phenomenon of sexting. It also offers an innovative intervention method to quickly and effectively counter this scourge and limit the significant repercussions it can entail.

As an introduction to the subject, we propose that you watch a video featuring a fictional case of sexting among teenagers. This video was produced in collaboration with drama students from École secondaire Saint-Stanislas in Saint-Jérôme. By becoming involved in this production, young people wished to initiate a reflection among their peers regarding the consequences which sexting can have in their lives from the point of view of victims, witnesses, instigators, and interveners.
